Brownie mix recipes are such a convenient way to keep fresh browines available! Of course, just grabbing a pre-made boxed mix at the store may seem a whole lot easier, but remember that your homeamde mix won't have any of that icky preservative stuff in it. Homemade efforts always pay off in the long run!

When we make a batch of brownies, it's not long before the "men-folk" wander into the kitchen...either to test the batter or dig into the steaming brownies.

Chippy Fudge Brownie Recipe
This is by far the best brownie recipe we have ever tried! Studded with chocolate chips and deeply fudgy, these brownies have the traditional shiny, crackly top that everyone loves.
1 1/4 C. white flour
1 t. baking powder
1 t. salt
2/3 C. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 C. white sugar
1/2 C. chocolate chips
Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Place into a jar or container.

To make your brownies...
Pour the entire jar of brownie mix into a big mixing bowl. Add:
1 C. melted butter
3 eggs
1 t. vanilla
Mix until combined. Pour into a greased 9x13 pan. Spread batter evenly and bake at 350* for 22-25 minutes.
*For extra chewy brownies, bake them five minutes less than the recipe calls for.
Blonde Brownie Mix1 cup white flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp baking soda
pinch salt
1 cup brown sugar, packed
3/4 to 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
1 cup chocolate chips
Layer ingredients in a quart jar, or mix together and place in jar.
To make brownies...
Pour contents of jar into a mixing bowl. Add:
1 stick butter, melted and cooled
1 egg
1 t. vanilla
Mix together well, until dry ingredients are moistened. Spread batter evenly into greased 9x13 baking dish; bake at 350* for 20-25 minutes.
Oatmeal Energy Bar Mix
These high energy bars are perfect for a fast breakfast or a mountain hike. It's also really versatile; try topping yogurt or ice cream with it! A fast, easy brownie recipe.
1 C. packed brown sugar
1 C. oats
1 C. white flour
1. C. whole wheat flour
1/2 C. toasted wheat germ
2 C. chopped pecans
1 C. flaked coconut
1 C. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Mix ingredients in a large bowl. Using your canning funnel, pour into a 2 quart glass jar or large container.
To make bars...
Pour mix into a large bowl. Add:
4 eggs
1 C. softened butter
Stir well and spread into a greased 9x13 baking dish. Bake at 350* for 30 minutes. Cool on a wire rack; cut into bars.
