Luscious Cappuccino Mix Recipe

alt text

If you're looking for a good cappuccino mix recipe, this is the one. Seriously. I whipped up this delicious mix for the first time about a week ago, and my mom's first words as she sniffed the mix hesitantly was, "Wow Rachel, that is going to be good." And she doesn't even like coffee! Not only did she think is smelled good, but she just about fell over dead when she tried some.

This cappuccino mix puts a new zip in coffee; as well as hot chocolate. It captures both flavors perfectly all in one drink, which is what I love about it.

The only problem? It doesn't last very long. I gave a quart jar of this mix to an elderly couple as a Christmas gift, and when we visited them a few days later, it was nearly gone! But that's a good problem, right?

Cappuccino Mix Recipe

1 cup powdered nondairy creamer

1 cup instant chocolate drink mix

2/3 cup instant coffee granules

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl. Pour into a quart jar and place lids and rings on top. Attach a tag or canning label. Store in a dry place; no refrigeration needed.

NOTE: Instead of 1/2 cup sugar, I made it 3/4 cup, just to sweeten it up a little more. Also, we used hazelnut powdered creamer, and I would use it again in a heartbeat! It added a really yummy flavor to the entire mix.

To make a cup,add 2 - 3 tablespoons of the mix into a mug of boiling water. Stir and sip!
