Easy Dessert Recipe CollectionWelcome to my easy dessert recipe collection! I'm always baking something. I love to bake. Even more than cooking. It's sort of like...a passion of mine. That's unfortunate because it is 100% incompatible with my dad's passion for healthy eating. We kind of bump into one another on this - so I try to either make healthier desserts, make them less often, or not make them at all. That last one is very difficult. There is just something about a girl and a chocolate that works. It's got to be chemistry related. Tell me I'm not the only one with afternoon chocolate cravings?
And let me tell you, this poster has rung true with me more times than I can count. Example: I buy some chocolate at the store, for "special occasions". (Like, once a week; something reasonable like that.) Something makes me upset. As the tears flow the bag opens and suddenly my chocolate stash is gone. Yup. Stressed IS desserts spelled backwards. *Sigh* But forget about that for a minute. I don't make an easy dessert recipe just for emotional breakdowns. In fact, you didn't even read that, okay?! Okay, back to the main point: I've always been a baker and, thankfully, at only 18, I don't have to worry (yet) about my waistline. I have fun trying out new recipes all the time; but mostly I just like falling back on a tried-and-true easy dessert recipe. I hope you enjoy these recipes as much as I do! 
Chocolate Chip Applesauce Cake Don't let the word "applesauce" deter you. It gives this cake a super moist texture...it's wonderful. This has been our default birthday cake for nearly ever birthday over the years. 
From-scratch, gooey, and easy. When we have unexpected company coming for lunch, it's always sandwiches and these brownies. They always turn out great, every time. Perfect if you need a dessert immediately! |
