Russian Tea Mix:

This Russian tea (or rushing tea, as I and my siblings used to call it when we were little) is basically a sweet and spicy orange drink. It's served hot, which makes it a perfect beverage for a cold morning or a fall afternoon.

The thing I love about this tea mix is the fact that it's different. Herbal tea can get mundane and boring after a while; and this unique mix kind of "breaks it up". Russian Tea Mix

2 cups instant orange drink mix

1 cup instant unflavored tea

1 cup sugar

6 tablespoons sugar-sweetened lemonade mix

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

Combine all ingredients thoroughly and pour into a quart canning jar. If you're giving it away as a gift, attach a tag or canning label to explain what it is and how to serve. This recipe yields 4 1/2 cups of tea mix.

To make a cup: Stir 2 tablespoons of the mix into a mug of boiling water. Stir and sip!
